Not only did the company win Technology Firm of the Year, but was also crowned the overall winner of the night’s biggest prize, Bristol Business of the Year.
The annual awards, organised by the Bristol Post, set out to recognise the cream of the city’s talent across a broad range of categories and are judged by an independent panel of business specialists.
The wins for Vistair cap a successful period for the company, which develops leading edge safety, management and compliance for the global airline industry.
In April Vistair was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the UK’s most prestigious business awards, in recognition of outstanding performance in overseas markets.
“Even though we operate internationally, with clients in every continent, the city of Bristol has always been our heartland and it is a great honour to be recognised in this way,” said Ian Herbert, Vistair’s founder and CEO.
“We started out 10 years ago with just a few clients and a handful of people and now provide software solutions to airlines the world over with more than 100 employees, and we are very proud to represent Bristol on the international stage as we look for further growth opportunities,” he added.
