Tigerair Australia selects DocuNet and CrewNet
Domestic airline, Tigerair Australia has selected DocuNet for the management, control and distribution of flight operation manuals across its fleet of 11 Airbus A320s. The agreement also involves the implementation of Vistair’s crew notices and bulletins portal, CrewNet which is designed to dramatically improve communication management and cut down the overhead of notice distribution.
Currently operating 16 routes domestically, the Melbourne-based carrier wanted a comprehensive solution that would reduce costs whilst still delivering the highest-possible standard of technology and ease-of-use interface with flight crews.
Adrian Jakobovic, Head of Operations Support at Tigerair Australia comments: “The airline was leading the process of adopting Vistair's DocuNet and CrewNet services with a view to rolling it out throughout the Tigerair group in due course.”
Through the DocuNet solution, Tigerair Australia now has the ability to deliver up-to-date electronic flight operations manuals ensuring all flight crews have a fully hyperlinked and indexed library of manuals at their fingertips, accessible as an iPad application or part of the crews' EFB.
The CrewNet notices and bulletins portal, meanwhile, gives Tigerair crew members immediate access to all relevant operational information. Notices, including attachments in any format are composed easily within the system which is equipped with a full approval process ensuring pre-distributed notices are signed off before publication.
