Tag Aviation Adopts iPad For Expansion Of Safety And Documents Formula

Apr 12th 2012

One of Vistair’s earliest customers extends its cloud-based services

GENEVA, 21 June 2012 – TAG Aviation, one of the world’s biggest operators of private aircraft management and charter services, has adopted iPad solutions from Vistair as part of its expansion of cloud-based services for cloud-based flight operations manuals.

Having been one of Vistair’s earliest customers for cloud-based provision of safety reporting, crew notices management, and technical manuals for a fleet of more than 100 aircraft, TAG Aviation has now extended that partnership to embrace the iPad delivery and management of documents.

This move sees TAG Aviation receive an integrated delivery of documents linked to the latest version of the Vistair cloud based library publication system DocuNet.  The airline is a leading user of Vistair’s “Touch”, e-documents, and SafetyNet services, and has now extended that partnership to include Vistair’s new iPad service for flight-deck documents.

“In the years since TAG Aviation became one of our earliest customers, Vistair has become the provider of safety reporting and technical manuals services to such airlines as British Airways, Emirates, Ryanair, easyJet, Flybe, FlyDubai, and every military aircraft flown by the RAF, Royal Navy, and British Army”, said Ian Herbert, founding Managing Director of Vistair.

“It is special to us that TAG Aviation remains one of our most innovative customers, and it’s typical of the TAG brand that they have been quick to embrace the latest iPad delivery and document management developments. This has delivered improved airline compliance while reducing their operating costs”, he added.

According to David Brant, Flight Operations Support Manager at TAG Aviation: “As the premium provider of aviation services in our sector, it was important for TAG Aviation to lead the field in safety management and compliance.  Since 2008, we have been able to deliver that aim with the assistance of Vistair’s cloud-based services, so the latest developments to use the iPad as a flight-deck platform have been welcomed as a logical extension”.

“Charter operators and airlines operate in a highly competitive marketplace, so it is important to differentiate the customer experience whilst ensuring standardisation in support areas such as safety and compliance.   TAG Aviation remains committed to best practice, and I am only too pleased to see so many respected industry names adopting TAG’s early lead and realising the benefit of using Vistair’s cloud-based safety and manuals services”, added Mr Brant.
