Cyber Assurance – Developing an assured IT support environment

An organisation’s cyber security and assurance accreditations are paramount, which is a situation that has become more and more acute in recent years. Recent organization infiltrations have increased this fear i.e. ‘WannaCry’ ransomware attack that seriously affected UK’s NHS amongst a host of other worldwide organisations.

Whilst Vistair has already achieved 3rd party accreditation of the Government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme, a UK-Government-backed assurance scheme, we have recently also achieved the initial steps, known as interim accreditations, for handling government data at "Official Sensitive". This is essential for several reasons but primarily for our government-related clients who can see standards are being maintained for the protection of critical data.

In addition, managing and controlling a library of airline OEM and organisational documentation is something Vistair takes very seriously. The library aspect of our business is often taken for granted but from an airline’s perspective we are seen as a quasi-data centre and therefore must respond to the perceptions around such an entity.
